eHIP Symposium 2015: A Taste of HI

Hosting the second annual e-Health Conference symposium on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2 - 4pm, the eHIP: Emerging Health Informatics Professional forum presents a Taste of Health Informatics (HI) - bringing leading industry experts from across the HI Career Matrix to the Emerging Professional (EP) table. Presented through round table discussions, EPs will have the opportunity to engage and interact with expert HI professionals sporting a variety of roles across the seven HI career levels [PDF] defined by COACH, as shown on the Career Matrix below. From this engagement, EPs will be exposed (but not limited) to:

  • An understanding of ever changing eHealth and organizational needs in relation to the existing career landscape;
  • Conceptualization of the HI career roles/structures in relation to HI environment positioning;
  • Specified/required skill sets (soft vs. hard) that are necessary to fulfill HI role expectations.

eHIP Symposium registration is FREE for COACH members within the eHIP Forum and with full conference registration (excluding lunch). One-day registration for non-members is $25.
