INFOWAY Pre-Conference workshop

Tactics to Accelerate Interoperability

While Canada’s provinces and territories continue to make progress on leveraging foundational systems and surfacing digital health services, the consensus is that achieving interoperability has been difficult and slow. Over the last year, Canada Health Infoway has worked with hundreds of stakeholders to develop a strategy for accelerating clinical interoperability. Through this engagement process, clinicians, vendors and eHealth programs across Canada articulated the challenges along with an expression of renewed energy to tackle them head-on.

Join us as we navigate a new approach for clinical interoperability! Engage in an interactive session that exposes specific tactics to identify clinical requirements in the clinician voice, develop interoperability specifications, and leverage technology and stakeholder tools, including the InfoCentral collaboration platform, to benefit the rapid development of digital health solutions.

This workshop offers you the opportunity to learn and contribute to a new approach that will enable you to progress your clinical interoperability projects through the use of real life examples such as medication reconciliation and transitions of care.

Who should attend?

  • Clinicians interested in developing a different approach to clinical requirements and change management;
  • Business analysts with an interest in standards and requirements documentation;
  • Clinical system developers with an interest in rapid and agile approaches to clinical interoperability;
  • eHealth project leaders, suppliers and anyone with an interest in achieving improved and accelerated clinical system interoperability.
